Digging with Mum in the garden

Yesterday turned out to be a nice day, despite the early start of rain. We went out into the garden to dig some fence post holes, move some compost into the garden and generally dig. Allegra isn’t very well again poor love so she had a sleep and Orik was down for a nap so it was Jasper manning the scoop digger and me on the spade. He filled the wheelbarrow and I emptied it for him. Works for me. 🙂

Here’s pictures of the construction site manager.

Allegra has been enjoying her play dough and is learning to “write” with it too. 🙂 I took these pics the other day.

Well back into the garden today. Lots more digging to do. 🙂

  1. It’s so odd, commenting on a post you wrote tomorrow! It’s the evening of the 7th here just now . . .
That is a great scoop digger! I’ve never seen, read of or heard of one before. My boys would have loved it and I would likely have needed two! But then, that’s more work done . . .

Allegra’s numbers are great, too. You may like the ‘rainy-day crafts for children’ link that I just posted. It has one that involves shaping pipecleaners into letters (or could be numbers) and then wrapping them with yarn. She could make her name and then it could be displayed to admire . . .

Hope the permies are all doing well again soon . . . ~ Linne

  2. Kudos on giving the hoppers learning opportunities with play :). Well done Jasper, you did a great job project managing. I think you need to make mum work faster and harder…I hear a hot poker works… 😉
